Abstract:
This presentation will describe the practicalities of procuring, installing and interfacing HVDC control replicas at the National HVDC Centre in the summer of 2018. The presentation will also describe the subsequent use of the installed replicas to prove and test control measures required for integration of the Caithness-Moray VSC HVDC circuit into the weak AC network of the north of Scotland.
