Abstract:
This paper presents an islanding detection technique using superimposed positive sequence voltage and current for microgrid system. The conventional passive methods have the drawback of non-detection zone (NDZ), and active islanding detection methods introduce disturbance which might cause problems with reliability, stability, and power quality on a power system. Two systems are simulated using RSCAD/RTDS software and several test cases are generated to test the performance of the proposed technique.
