Abstract:
This paper focuses on the design of an architecture to monitor and control the Smart Micro Grid. The growing number of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) leads to the need for a distributed and decentralized control architecture. A Multi-Agent System (MAS) has been selected as distributed control architecture for Smart Micro Grids, to be provided as Cloud Computing Service. This work defines the architecture scenario by explaining the different actors and how they are connected to one another. Furthermore, it identifies the key factors to design the proposed MAS as Cloud Computing Service. The evaluation of selected key factors is based on a specific Cloud Computing Service that the MAS could provide. This Cloud Computing Service consists of the control for voltage stability.
