Abstract:
This talk will present an overview of the research, education and innovation-ecosystem activities in smart grid at the Real-Time Power and Intelligent Systems (RTPIS) Laboratory (http://rtpis.org) at Clemson University. The RTPIS Lab studies focuses on real-world power system challenges and addresses many of them using a real-time platform based investigations and solution implementations. The Real-Time Digital Simulator (RTDS), a state-of-the-art real-time platform, is adopted by the RTPIS Lab for over a decade. This presentation will share some applications developed and demonstrated using the RTDS platform for situational intelligence and power systems control.
