Abstract:
This paper introduces a novel electromagnetic approach for modeling internal faults in three-winding autotransformers. The proposed method applies the Terminal Duality Method (TDM) to derive the electrical equivalent circuit from the dual of the magnetic circuit. This approach provides a robust, stable, and physically meaningful representation of the autotransformer, significantly improving the accuracy and stability of internal fault modeling.
